El Garabato Earrings - 925 Silver

Ornamental ironwork has long been a defining feature of Art Nouveau architecture. Emerging in the late 19th century, this movement embraced flowing, organic lines inspired by nature—curves that appeared in balconies, gates and railings across many cities around the world.

These sculptural “garabatos” can still be found in historic architecture from Paris and Brussels to New York and Mexico City, where hand-forged ironwork became an integral part of the city’s architectural character.

The El Garabato Earrings are inspired by these expressive metal forms. Its fluid, scribble-like silhouette echoes the spontaneous curves seen in historic ironwork.

Designed as mirrored forms, the same sculptural shape is reversed for each ear so the curves flow naturally in opposite directions, creating a playful yet balanced composition when worn.

Each piece is completely hand-carved in wax and cast in silver using the traditional lost-wax process in our Mexico City atelier.
